About the artist and the artwork

These colors! These gestures! The abstract works of the French artist Franck Noto (*1980 in Montpellier) are reminiscent in their intensity of natural spectacles, whose effective magic can never quite be grasped. Thus, his signed serigraph entitled "..." from 2022 can be effortlessly associated with the pastel tones of the sky as the sun rises or sets. At the same time, the ductus of his works leaves no doubt that they are deeply rooted in graffiti art - Noto began spraying as a 15-year-old and later traveled the world as ZEST with the collective TDM. An astonishing pull develops from this tension, a seductive and singular visual vocabulary that requires no rational decoding.

Franck Noto's works can be seen in international solo and group exhibitions. His artistic signature is also evident in numerous murals in locations worldwide, including Montpellier, Bordeaux, Buenos Aires, Las Vegas, Zaragoza or Heidelberg.
